1. General Notice
By accessing RightwayHost or contracting for any services, you (“Customer” or “End User”) agree to be bound by this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), the Standard Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional terms or policies displayed in connection with our services.
RightwayHost is committed to complying with applicable laws and providing services that do not infringe on the rights of others. This AUP is intended to:
Ensure compliance with local and international laws;
Specify activities and online behavior considered unacceptable;
Protect the integrity of RightwayHost’s network and systems;
Clarify the consequences of prohibited activities.
RightwayHost respects freedom of speech, privacy, and human dignity but may intervene when these rights:
Are exercised unlawfully;
Threaten harm to others;
Violate this AUP or threaten the integrity of our systems.
For the purposes of this AUP:
“Provider” refers to RightwayHost;
“Customer” refers to the account holder;
“End User” refers to the Customer’s clients, if any.
2. ISPA Compliance
RightwayHost complies with Section 72 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. While not a member of the Internet Service Providers’ Association (ISPA), we adhere to the ISPA Code of Conduct.

3. Scope and Interpretation
This AUP is a guideline and is not exhaustive. Any conduct violating law, regulations, or accepted Internet norms is prohibited. RightwayHost reserves the right to prohibit activities that may harm its reputation or infrastructure. This policy applies to all RightwayHost IP services, including:
Internet access;
Data, web, or server hosting;
Domain registration;
Any other online or wireless services.
4. Unlawful Use
Services may only be used for lawful purposes. Prohibited activities include, without limitation:
Violating laws prohibiting child pornography, obscenity, hate speech, or discrimination;
Defaming, stalking, harassing, or threatening others;
Violating intellectual property rights;
Unauthorized collection of personal data or phishing;
Fraudulent activity, impersonation, or unauthorized financial transactions;
Violation of South African exchange control laws;
Sale, transmission, or distribution of pirated software or media.
Violation may result in account suspension, deletion, or other legal action at RightwayHost’s discretion.
5. Spam and Unsolicited Mail
RightwayHost strictly prohibits unsolicited bulk emails (spam). Exceptions include prior relationships or explicit consent. Customers must:
Maintain records of consent;
Secure mail servers against public relay;
Comply with all anti-spam requirements.
Repeated or severe violations may result in:
Account suspension;
Restrictions on mail limits;
Charges for delisting IPs if blacklisted.
6. International Users
Customers residing outside South Africa are primarily subject to the laws of their country of residence. RightwayHost’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy remain binding as part of the contractual agreement between the Customer and RightwayHost.
Where legally required or upon receipt of a valid legal request, RightwayHost may cooperate with foreign law enforcement agencies in the investigation or prosecution of activities using its services.
7. Hosting and Service Usage
Customers must use services responsibly; excessive bandwidth or storage misuse may result in migration or termination.
“Unlimited” bandwidth or storage is subject to fair usage.
Shared hosting is intended for personal, small enterprise, or SME use—not for large enterprises or high-demand applications.
Prohibited Content/Usage:
Pirated software, warez, or illegal material;
Scripts/bots for automation, hacking, or spam;
Pornographic material or exploitation of minors;
High-risk financial or investment schemes;
Any activity circumventing RightwayHost policies.
Backups and Responsibility: Customers are solely responsible for data backup. RightwayHost is not liable for data loss. All data is permanently deleted upon account termination.
No Refund Policy: All services purchased via rightwayhost.com, including domains and hosting packages (monthly, quarterly, semiannual, or annual), are non-refundable.
8. Protection of Minors
RightwayHost prohibits any activities that harm minors, including hosting or distributing unlawful, sexual, or pornographic content.
9. Privacy and Confidentiality
RightwayHost respects the privacy of Customers and End Users. See our Privacy Policy for details on data collection, storage, and usage.
10. User Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for account security and misuse;
Customers authorizing minors are responsible for their conduct;
Customers must avoid replying to spam or clicking untrusted links.
11. Complaints Procedure
Complaints about violations of this AUP must be sent in writing to support@rightwayhost.co.za, detailing the nature of the issue. Complaints in languages other than English will not be addressed.
12. Breach of AUP
Upon a breach, RightwayHost may:
Warn, suspend, or terminate Customer accounts;
Notify third-party network administrators;
Charge administrative and recovery costs;
Share information with law enforcement;
Initiate civil or criminal proceedings.
13. Reservation and Non-Waiver of Rights
RightwayHost may amend this policy at any time;
RightwayHost reserves the right to enforce this AUP fully or partially;
RightwayHost may cancel services immediately for violations.
14. General Acceptable Usage
Customers must use services with respect, courtesy, and responsibility. Use common sense and avoid actions that may adversely affect others or RightwayHost’s infrastructure.
